To mention a few ‘Printing Ink Manufacturer Endowment award, Coats of India award, Warnock publishing award, etc. Industry actively supports the annual national event called IMPRINT as part of SPE activity. The students of B.E. Printing Technology have achieved 100% placement over the years.
Society of Printing Engineers (SPE), is a forum for the confluence of the students and staff of the Department, and was established in 1987. In addition to academics the students hone their skills by taking up a lot of extracurricular activities The SPE activity involves a number of student activities ranging from Technical events to guest lectures by eminent personalities from the industry, the main objective of which is to develop the qualities and the personality of the students. The biggest feat of SPE lies in the conduct of IMPRINT – a National Level Symposium in which the students from Printing department across the nation participate in a battle of wits. This event is highly patronized by the Industries, which sponsor the event.
SPE organizes national level Technical symposium IMPRINT every year at the end of the academic session. The students from various printing institutions throughout India will participate. Printing which showered its ink only on paper is now growing beyond the imaginary line of limitation. The technological leap is at an exponential rate with advancements like manufacturing aircraft parts, electronics, human organs, and nano based products using printing technology. We pay tribute to printing by having th theme “Print Beyond Limits” as its accomplishments are transcending. The mega event Imprint'16,is scheduled to be be conducted on 26 – 28 February, 2016 which will include corporate presentations and event inspiring the minds of the growing engineers.
